You Will Make it Through
05:09
|
|||
Hey there,
What are you up to right now?
I was thinking we should do something today.
Like swing to the sky
Above the birds and the flies
It's March but it smells like summer when you're here.
But for now I want you to...
Take your time.
I realize you've had
A lot of shit to deal with these past few weeks
But I'm letting you know that I'll be waiting
For you, I'll be waiting here for you.
I'm ready when you are,
So just let me know, just let me know.
Hey there,
What are you up to right now?
I was hoping we could do something tonight.
Like sit in a coffee shop
Exchanging favorites
And talking of time as if clocks did not exist.
But for now I want you to...
Take your time.
I realize you've had
A lot of shit to deal with these past few weeks
But I'm letting you know that I'll be waiting
For you, I'll be waiting here for you.
I'm ready when you are,
So just let me know, just let me know.
Well,
I don't really know what to say
At times like these,
But I'm sorry,
And I love you,
And I know you'll make it,
I just know you'll make it through.
You will make it through.

Rainbow Sherbet
03:12
|
|||
For three years now
I’ve felt like I’m the only one
Who knows where he’s going.
Got a plan, got a dream,
Got something to use these chasing shoes for.
But you seem like you’ve got direction.
What do you wanna be when you grow up?
You said, “I don’t know,
But the sun in the west through the trees
Looks like the rainbow sherbet I used to eat
When I was allergic to milk,
And all my friends were eating ice cream.”
I’m not sure how,
But it seems like the world is helping me out
Whenever I’m with you.
You said, “I swear they won’t care.
I promise my parents won’t be angry.”
But I’m so scared of this connection.
What am I gonna do when you’re not there?
You said, “I don’t know,
But the sun in the west through the trees
Looks like the rainbow sherbet I used to eat
When I was allergic to milk,
And all my friends were eating ice cream.”
You said, “I don’t know,
But the sun in the west through the trees
Looks like the rainbow sherbet I used to eat
When I was allergic to milk,
And I knew not what love was."
You said, “I don’t know,
But I wish you won’t go,
Cause when I’m with you I feel just like I did
When I was six years old,
And everything was as I wish it could be.”

Someday Soon
04:01
|
|||
Someday soon
We'll wander through the streets of Winter,
setting free our songs and sighs,
to dance in the cold night sky,
among other wishes and whispers.
Someday soon, Someday soon.
We'll make our plea to the Season,
to send another storm,
cause we love having a reason,
to keep each other warm.
Someday soon, Someday soon
I can't sleep, I can't sleep,
I can't sleep with the light on,
in my room or in my head.
Someday soon...
...we'll be together.

Remember
02:18
|
|||
Remember that time we were playing Truth or Dare in my basement, and I dared you to go get a pair of my little sister's underwear from her room, and you refused, so instead I dared you to take off your shirt, and you did and then my mom came downstairs...?
...boy was I in trouble.
Remember when we used to play flashlight tag on the golf course behind our houses? We'd go out and get every kid on the block to come play with us, and then we'd always hide together in that same sandtrap...?
...I can't believe no one ever found us.
Remember that time I called you while you were watching a movie by yourself at the mall, and I just so happened to be at the mall at the exact same time, so I bought a ticket and came in and watched it with you even though there was only a half-hour left in the movie...?
...we had some good times.

Holes May Grow
04:23
|
|||
Holes may grow in my soles
But it's no surprise,
With how many sidewalks
I've let taste my shoes.
Holes may grow in my soles
But it's no surprise,
'Cause I walk three blocks
To get the mail in my socks.
Holes may grow in my soles
But I'll be just fine,
'Cause they all got names and faces,
Hearts and places in mine.
No I won't let 'em go
No they're here till the end
They were everything I
Could've asked for in my friends.
Holes have grown in my soles
but don't be surprised,
When I let every zip code
Hear this next reprise.
Holes they grow in our souls
But it'll be alright,
Cause no matter what
We'll always have that last night.
Holes they grow in our souls,
Holes they grow in our souls,
Holes they grow in our souls.
